      Countless problems

Well basically My internet has a mind of its own.
One day my ping on most games will be 100+ the next it will be around 30. The game im having the most trouble with is Call of duty 2. The server list is displaying that i should be getting pings of around 30-50 but in reality its more like 90 + once i get on. Does anyone have any solutions? Please stick to using simple non IT expert terms.

      Re: Countless problems

If you are on Sky Connect as you profile indicates the only soloution is to leave for another ISP.

Sky's Connect service is suffering capacity issues which have a very bad effect on pings so gaming becomes almost impossible.

There are many threads here for you to read about this so I won't bore you with too many details but rest assured you need to leave to get it sorted, there does not seem to be an end in sight for Connect users at the moment, especially the gamers.

Hi the reason you are on connect usually that means there is no Sky LLU in your exchange or is there you can have a look and see if your exchange is Sky LLU

You can only do this if Sky have their own equipment in the BT exchange, the fact that you are on Connect usually means that they don't.

If you are paying 5 per month they may be considering putting it in in the next6-12 months, if you are paying 17 per month then they have no immediate plans to do so.

I would imagine the only cure is to switch ISP's.

No, you could still keep SkyTalk if it is working ok for you.

You could also go back to BT.
