Re: Disconnections and lagging within single game

Well last night I phoned Sky and was ready for a very long slog of answering a whole load of silly questions. But instead got through to a very helpful lady, who put me straight through to some team (CTS???). Where I got another very helpful lady, who listerned to my issue, then said she would phone BT and get back to me as soon as possible on my mobile. Within 20 mins, I had her back on the phone, she has now asked me to do 3 speedtest.bt.com tests morning, afternoon and evening, which BT will log and send through to Sky. I am to expect a call from her this evening to discuss these and what Sky can do for me. So far my Sky support experience is excellent

Speedtests.bt.com so far have come back as around 3500kbps off peak times and 18kbps and 58 kbps peak times, yep you heard me right, my ADSL line runs like a 56K modem peak times at the moment. Well as you can tell im looking forward to the phone call this evening to see what Sky have to say.

      Fingers crossed for me

      Thanks Steve

Got them all written down on a pad at home, with names of Sky staff ive been talking too.

Last night Sky told me that there is a fault on my line and BT will resolve this for me in the next 48 hours - well they actually told me I had an SU (I think he said), couldnt work out what that was meant to mean (one thing that poped into my head was Stupid User, lol), but I had to prod him before he explained that it was a fault on my line.

Anyway fingers and toes crossed this time for a resolution

Re: Disconnections and lagging within single game

Hi guys - BT engineer called me today (Yep Sky got BT to come out and fix as they own the line) and said they had tested my line from house to exchange and there was a fault on line. They have layed new cable to replace this faulty line, but I still get the same problem. Anyone know if the following looks right for Sky Connect:-
