      Telia are just plain awful when it comes to hosting the WoW servers, it has been like it since the launch of WoW in the EU and Blizzard EU just let them get away with it.

      I ended up playing WoW US after they relexed the region locking and I got a much better connection with that than I did to france.

      WAR Europe is the same with GOA (France Telecom), so I would say it is the French end being awful again.
      I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!

      Thanks all for your replies - I never had any problems with disconnecting when at my old house, playing WoW, and this went through the same servers (well not the Sky ones), so its not Blizzards end causing these issues - I heard about the issues with Telia, however im sure this got resolved.

      The last 2 nights have been aweful, one disconnect after another after another, I think I spent more time logging in to Wow than I did playing it.

      Well Sky have asked me to plug into my test port on the BT master box to see if they can resolve this, so we shall see what happens tonight.

      I shall also be running as many speedtester.bt.com tests as possible over the next few days.

      Shall see what I get back and keep ya posted.

      SPeedtester.bt.com result

      Config speed 3500kbps
      Test speed approx 4300kbps
      IP Throughput 17 kbps - Does this mean my ADSL line is worse than a 56K modem???

      This test was done at 6:03pm and I didnt get time for another one that night. Im hoping this is a faulty test.

      That's really bad, what package are you on, you have Sky Base in yout details but I am wondering if it is Sky Connect.

      Do you share this connection with any other users? Do you torrent or download? Have you gone over your 2gb limit (assuming you are on base)?

      Oooops, changed my profile to Sky Connect

      All I do is World of Warcraft, no downloading, well until they send out a patch, but I had nothing but the speedtest running over my connection on test, used performance monitor just prior to test to see what was using my connection and there was nothing.

      I know how you feel!
      I Connected at 61kbs!, this is really poor, can't connect to anything apart from MSN, but i don't want to use MSN, i want to use Xfire and be able to log in to an MMO.... Instead of it just saying "Disconnected"

      The only thing i do that takes up any bandwith is watch an episode of the simpsons online or something like that, and thats about 30-60mb if that!

      I have a feeling that connect is your problem.

      It may be that the exchange you are on is also suffering from contention, check the Sam knows websire to see if there is any upgrades scheduled to the exchange.

      At the moment, I would consider that your service is below a useable level and if Sky cannot do anything about it then you should be able to leave mid contract.

      Do a few more BT speedtests and keep them in case you need them.
