Strangely enough the Master socket is giving a better result, but I think this might be down to a poor connection between the filter and the Test socket. It confirms my belief that a filtered faceplate will not improve your connection.

Leave things as they are, at least until you are transferred over to LLU, but I doubt if even then there will be any advantage, apart from the nicer appearance of a filtered faceplate.

DLM is not yet running on your line and as it is a complete change, I would think it will. This will change the mode from G.DMT to ADSL2+ and may give you a bit more speed. It may however, make your line worse, but don't worry, when it has run it's course you can ask for it to be changed back manually. Keep a copy of your stats as they are, so you have something to show Sky should your line be crippled. If your line accepts the faster mode you could get 5-7Mb

      Re: ping,bb connection!!!

G.DMT is the mode below ADSL2+. Although it is capable of running up to 12Mb, Sky cap it to 8Mb. It usually gives better results on long lines which are subject to a bit of noise. ADSL2+ is the fastest available but can give problems on long lines which have much noise on them.

You can usually tell the mode by the upload speed, ie, 768kbps=G.DMT, 764 kbps = ADSL2+. When DLM runs on Max, the upload usual increases to 790-800. At the moment you are on G.DMT, within a few days DLM should start and you will go on to ADSL2+

I am getting a bit fed up telling users that speedtest.net is rubbish, as once again demonstrated by your results. Use the Sky User - Broadband Speed Tester it is far more dependable.
