      Re: ping,bb connection!!!

You don't need an i-plate, you want a filtered faceplate, they are different and the filtered faceplate will isolate the ADSL signal from the rest of the wiring and so remove any interference from it.

There is a poster on here called "RunItDirect" they sell everything you need, a filtered faceplate is about 10 and if yoy mention this site he will give you an IDC tool free to put the wires in. It only takes a minute or so and is really easy to do.

If you can wire a 13amp plug you can do it easily, it only requires basic screwdriver skill.

      Re: ping,bb connection!!!

im going to order my filtered faceplate this evening.is there a difference between the adslnation one and the one runitdirect do???any thoughts??also when i took the bottom off my master socket to plug into the test socket theres no wires to be seen, ive got no extentions.i keep reading about the idc tool to put the wires in.for me will it be a matter of just putting the faceplate straight on and putting the two screws back in??

To be honest, if you have no extensions, a filtered faceplate will make little difference if any. The same goes for an iPlate.

You can check your stats in the master socket then in the test socket. If there is a big difference you probably have a faulty faceplate.
