Hi everyone, please help me with my PS3 setup?

Hi,im new to the site and so glad i found out about you all! Seems like theres so much interesting information here!

I have the "Sky Max" broadband and am currently accessing a download speed of 5239kbps and an upload speed of 516kbps using My Broadband Speed - Broadband Speed Test from PlusNet.

I overall experiance an okay connection to be honest but i was hoping you could all share your wisdom and help me get more out of my service? I have the "netgear dg834gt" which is plugged directly into my master socket and get a 100% wireless signal to my PS3 which has a clear path and is only about 10ft away. I live 1150metres (crows) from my exchange.

I know call of duty4 suffers with hosting problems anyway but i can host a full room fine but after 3 or so matches it'll kick everybody out apart from myself and bring in a whole new set of players. Or when in the lobby between games that i am also hosting, as the timer ticks down it will keep pausing for upto 20seconds or so sometimes and then jump down to whatever time it should be on putting me in complete silence for this duration?

Sorry if this post is in the wrong section and i'd be extremely grateful fo as much help as possible as i know its pointless ringing customer service without first knowing what the problem could be!!!

      Jay

No idea with the issues you are having hosting, but make sure if you play games that you get Sky to reduce your Max_Delays for a more improved gaming experience. (if that makes sense)
