      PS3 Nat Type Failed

hi guys, we got a new ps3 for xmas, after having 4 360s in the house i didnt expect problems when coming to play online with the ps3!! i have a dlink 2640b router which works flawlessly with xbox live and sky broadband , the main reason i got it was due to the fact you can play on all the xboxs at the same time with open nat, however the ps3 now will not connect and let me play online.

ive followed all the steps about port forwarding etcalso tried putting it into dmz and it still fails on nat type failed.

anyone any idea of a fix for this? ive done a quick google and cant find anything straight forward

i get the error connection to the server timed out

it says upnp is "available" and nat type failed.

hmm how strange.. have you tried all possable solutions?

have you typed in your wifi key correct if you have one...

have you rebooted the router ? then tryed again?

i have a feeling that you may have to enter in everything manually have you tryed that?

have you also tryed your sky router with it? because that could narrow the problem down to the router if the ps3 connects fine to the sky router
