black router, xbox live MTU fail

      Hi

I have a white netgear sky router and my xbox works just fine.

When I go to my friends he has the newer black router and my xbox won't connect - the test connection says MTU failed - change the setting...

Can someone tell why? and how I go about changing this setting so xbox live works.
      thanks,
      G

Re: black router, xbox live MTU fail

It is very unlikely to be the MTU setting that is wrong if you are able to connect through your own router. This error message can be given if multiple consoles or PCs are connected to the router. If you can connect when your friend disconnects his, this will confirm it. Further advice can be found HERE
