      PPPoE sky user and password for PS3

      Hi all, I am trying to change my nat type from type 2 to type 1 wirelessly(It is possible!) but I need to know what the PPPoE is for Sky. Any help is appreciated and I hope the PPPoE is the same for all sky users.

      Sky don't use PPPoE - it's PPPoA for connection...

      I use PPPoE, but thats because my firewall controls my modem. The modem takes care of the PPPoA connectivity, the PPPoE allows control of the modem over ethernet.
      I can't see what the original poster would need PPPoE for in this case.

      No it's not possible. NAT type 2 on PS3 means that you are connected via a router and everything is working as it should.
      NAT type 1 means you have a direct connection to a modem only.

      Nat type 2 is the best, it means you have the right secruity with the right ports open. Nat type one is no security with all ports open.
