Just ping bbc.co.uk and tell us what you get with your current provider, if none of us on Sky can get close then don't switch, but if we can, start saving money asap.

If your using a ps3 for gaming it could be different. In my case if i ping jolt/bbc from my pc i get a average of 20 - 30 ms...But pinging speedtest net from my ps3's browser gives me a masssive 937ms In my particular circumstance Sky has been awfull for gaming, gutted cause i use to love cod4 online and now its unplayable, by the way i am on a wired connection, ive had my max delays reduced, changed master socket and put router next to master. I think i am being dlm'd as we speak because my DL has dropped to nearly 2/3 over last 10 days.... just hope it gets better

i was with bt and moved to sky and tbh i was getting a 1mb faster then with bt but sky have their problems too with line faults....its depends if your connection has been very stable with bt i'd move to sky if not i wouldn't until your line is stable enough

Re: Thinkin of moving to sky

well my connection seems to change from day to day, hour to hour, pings stay the same, but games are unplayable at times, then few hours later its fine again.I get a few connection drop outs, but i think that the crappy HomeHub they supply.I was gona buy myself a new one, but with the thought of changin to sky, and havin to use theres, i havnt bothered buying one, as dont want to waste money.
I was thinkin that as long as sky is no worse than Bt has been, then iam saving money, as sky is alot cheaper than bt.
Tbh i think all isp are as bad as each other, i had NTL before BT, and at first they were fine, but the service got worse every time they upgraded my connection, started on 750k DL, then 2mb, then 4mb, then 10mb,after being on the 10mb for 3 months, i thought enough is enough and changed to bt, only went with them as i needed a new line putting in.
