How can I minimise line errors and packet loss?

I think I am getting line errors on my line and maybe even packet loss. Because, when I am gaming, I will often have lag spikes. I think this is due to packet loss or errors on line because my max delays have already been lowered and my pings are ok. Can anyone help? BTW, does anyone have the SKY CS number?

Will forcing lower attenuation help? Or ask them to cap me at lower speed?

      Ok pings. (24/05/08)

Re: How can I minimise line errors and packet loss?

To reduce the errors ( tho they dont seem too high, were you using the router heavily prior to getting the stats ? ) you need to increase the nm, ( you cant force a different attenuation, thats a result of your line length ) this will have the same effect as sky capping you and will reduce the sync. You can do it yourself if you install the community update firmware.

Re: How can I minimise line errors and packet loss?

Just got off phone to CST, was put through STRAIGHT away, so 10/10 for CS today.

I think the chap on the otherside of the phone lowered the delays even more, not a noticable difference in ping speeds, but maybe the experts on this forum can tell me the other details like errors and loss.

Sorry a bit off topic but how do you obtain these stats?

vrc - you can oly get these stats if you have the V1 netgear router (White one)
