      need help improving my ps3 connection and 360

      ok in our house we have a ps3 (mine) and a 360 (lil bro) is there anyway we can get them both better signals? we have issuse's at the mo like. when somebody rings or the phone gets active we get cut off the internet b4 the phone rings. this id=s getting solved today (friday) as somebody said there do this in there spare time so we dont have to pay 130 as its not are fault. (fair play to the lad) also were on around 5-6 meg aday but get somehow lots of lag i dont know how to post detailed stats but here some.

      this was at around 3am

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 5120 kbps 384 kbps
      Line Attenuation 26.0 db 18.0 db
      Noise Margin 24.5 db 13.0 db

      ive emailed sky to have my max delays put to 8 as ive read it can be done and improves gaming. so could somebody help us please? im a novice with this lot and i think im doin the right things so far

      With that attenuation you should be getting a lot better speed maybe een the full 16 meg from the package. Should be getting a better upload speed aswell because mine is 29.3db and get about 600 kbps. Might be a problem with the wiring but im no technician.

      thats the max package? it looks like youve been capped on both your download and upload, and have lots of room to spare for better speed.

      Two reasons i can think of for that,
      1 is that there is a mistake, and you just have to get sky to uncap you, or 2 you have a problem with your internal wiring and that is why you were capped

      im not on max sorry i dont know how to change it. iwas on max. what happend was when i orderd skybb i wanted the max as i could get it. then after a week of having around 13meg my routor broke so i had to send for a new1. in that time we had to change are home number which resulted us losing the 16 meg how i dont know as its the same house same line different number. now are line cuts out when ever a dial tone is on. like if we play online and lose connection 99% its a incoming call or were using it. that hopefully gets sorted today. but i still havent found an answer as to why the 16meg from 1 number went when we went to another number. (its same provider aswell BT) so i think im on base as were normally on 4-6meg. reached 8meg once.

      ^^^post your router stats and we will be able to see what package you are on (i would assume it is connect)
