      Max delays

I emailed sky yesterday evening asking to have my max delays lowered in the hope of improving my connection for gaming. I got a prompt email back saying my request had been passed on to the CST and that they would lower my delays within 48 hours.

I'm just wondering, how will I know when it's been done? Aside from the lower pings I'm hoping for, is there a more objective way of knowing? Is this info in the router stats, for example?

      Cheers.

      Re: Max delays

You can see the delay settings in the detailed router stats. unfortunately you have one of the newer routers and at this point in time it is not possible to view the detailed stats. So at the moment the only way you will be able to tell is to monitor your ping results.

OK thanks, that's a shame. Is it likely my connection speed will drop slightly after the change?

      Re: Max delays

No it shouldnt do. If anything depending on how much they reduce the delays it could go up ever so slightly, not enough to make any significant difference tho.

It really depends on the line quality the connection can go intermittent if the line is not good quality.
