      Gaming issues

      Hi guys,

      Great site to start with

Managed to get 15Mb from Sky about 6 months a go. All going very well until about 2 months a go.

Recently (in the last 8 weeks or so) I have been experiencing a lot a laggy gaming.

Browsing the net & downloading crap is fine. In game (mainly COD4 & BF2142) I get a high ammount of connection interupted or loosing connection.

I have got my max pings dropped down to 8 by the tech support guys after this problem started.

Below are some stats from mognut fella's app:

Did I make a wrong move by asking for the max delay to be reduce or is there something else??

I am attached to my master socket. The exchange is in Erith, Kent - could it be the same problem that the guys were experiencing in Aberdeen the other month??
      Thanks in advanced
      Peva

      Re: Gaming issues

you dont have a max delay as you are of fastpath. have you tried your test socket?
your line has errors... but they arent majorly high.

      what are your pings like?

      Re: Gaming issues

hes not on fastpath mate its a bug of the reporting software that shows fast for everyone on an adsl2+ connection. I'd guess the problem is that low snr, 6 is not good check the Cabling and faceplate help - Sky User - The unofficial support forum for everything Sky!

      Re: Gaming issues

      Little update:

All seem to be cured. Turned out to be the XP wireless configurator on my PC. Started using the linksys configurator software and it has started working a treat.

      Thanks for the replies anyway.

      One happy Peva!!
