Unhappy Wireless connection to PS3...Please Help!!!

Hi there. Wondering if anybody can help. Im havning a nightmare trying to connect my ps3 to the wireless sky router ive got(netgear). I connected my desktop with no problems but then tryed to sort ps3.
I followed the normal instructions: Internet connections, wireless, scan, found router ok 92% signal, selected WPA-PSK(TKIP), then inserted the network security key....then this is where i seem to have the problems. If on the next page i select easy settings and click on automatic for all my settings it just says connection failed at the end.
So then ive tryed to insert custon settings following the instructions from these threads but still no luck.
This is what ive inserted if it helps:
      Internet connection: enabled
      Connection Method: wireless
      Signal Strength: not connected
      SSID: sky08923
      Security:WPA-PSK (TKIP)
      WPAKEY: *******
      Address set: Manual
      Ip address: 192.168.0.2
      Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
      Default router: 192.168.0.1
      Primary DNS: 192.168.0.1
      Sec DNS : 192.168.0.1
      Mac Address : 00:19:c5:bf:09:a6
      MTU : Automatic
      Proxy: do not use
      UPnP: enabled
      Connection Test : FAILED......timed out??

Hope this helps. Sorry its a bit of an essay ive wrote but im at my wits end..Cheers for the help

Re: Wireless connection to PS3...Please Help!!!

you are using 192.168.0.2 for your PC, you cannot use the same ip for your PS3, try a different one
      EDIT: e.g 192.168.0.15

Re: Wireless connection to PS3...Please Help!!!

Try disabling security in your router and then connecting (leave everything on automatic on your PS3), if this works then you have entered your network key incorrectly and you can re-enable security and try again. Make sure you are entering your network key correctly as it is case sensitive.

Got sorted thanks mate. Tryed re typing the modem code then turned off McAfee firewalls until it found ip address etc. then turned them back on when online. Didnt have to insert manually, it did it all automatically.
      Cheers for your help guys

Switch mcafee firewall off permenantly dude, you don't need it with a NAT router.
