Really slow download speeds on PS3 tonight.

Is it just me or is everyone experiencing slow download speeds tonight?
Prior to this a 1Gb download would take little more than hour, yet tonight even a small (less than 1Mb) file is taking ages and ages.
Could it be that sky are throttling downloads to the PS3?

I doubt sky are throttling it, could be a number of things ie, lots of people attempting to d/l same item at once, wireless interference, etc. Try rebooting your router for a start and see if that helps. Personally, I have to have my PS3 within 15ft of the router otherwise I notice severe slowdown.

Re: Really slow download speeds on PS3 tonight.

My router is less than 10 feet away.
PC Online performance is as per normal i.e. good.
      Have tried rebooting router (sagem)

Can the network really be that busy tonight?

      Thanks for trying...

Could it really be that there a a load of really frustrated Xbox 360 owners that have gone over to the "dark" side?

It wouldn't actually surprise me if that there are a fair few people who have both consoles who have just stopped using the Xbox and have gone over to the PS3 and started chocking up their servers.
