      Need Help.

      Hi there,

My name is sam ive been with sky for about 4 months now, I have the sky sports + six mixes sky freetalk (the free phone option) and Sky Broadband (Max)
I know that sky is nto paticlarly good for online gaming but I play alot of steam games and I alwayse get around 80 - 120 latency. On teamspeak i get around a 92ms
on a UK hosted server. I have heard about this max delay thing, and i am the account holder. I have looked on the conect form page but there is no place where it says
contect teir3. I did the netgear.cfg thing and this is what i got...

      Max(Kbps): 2848 960
      Rate (Kbps): 2048 416

Shows me you are not on Max. Should be 768 not 416

You are going to have to ring Sky and find out why not, and also ask them to lower your Max Delay.

      Re: Need Help.

Well i definatly have used more than 40GB allowance. Mainly downloading a linux CD's and the connection has not stoped working. Maybe it could be somthing to do with my phone line. It is not that new and I only had it reactivated recently. Could this be what is causing the slow download?

      Samknows - EMGLNFI exchange

Mode: G.DMT - is this normal shouldnt it be ADSL?

No known case of enforcing limits so far.

GDMT is what Sky put you on for stability under 8mb. I am on GDMT and get 7mb or so, but I do get 768 up. Looks to me like you are on Mid, with your reference to the cap.

Ring and get your Max Delay sorted, it will make the world of difference playing online games, normally.
