Lowering max delays with non-Sky router?

      Hey,

I'm thinking of applying to Sky to lower my max. delays to hopefully reduce my ping and improve my online gaming. I do, however, use my own belkin router instead of Sky's netgear router (because of NAT issues re 2 xbox 360s & range isuues).

In the circs, I was wondering if anyone out there had successfully reduced their max. delays whilst using a non-Sky router or whether Sky won't entertain such a request if you're using your own kit?

      All feedback welcome.

      Thanks in advance.

the adjustments are made to the line - nothing to do with the router itself so you've nothing to worry about

Question Re: Lowering max delays with non-Sky router?

      Many thanks for your response.

I know Sky adjust the line, not the router, but I'm just worried that whilst they action such a request the fact that the line ultimately feeds thru' to a non-sky router may perhaps be flagged up in some way (through line testing, etc), which may possibly give them an excuse not to lower my max delays and cause me some hassle & problems re. breaking terms & conditions, etc.

Sorry to be paranoid but thru' my technical ignorance, I just don't know what is involved which makes me very wary. In the circumstances, can I just check with you that whilst you were on Sky BB, did you lowered your max delays whilst using a non-sky router or ?

Cheers and many thanks for your help.
