I think it could be the cable switching thats causing the problem. Eay way to check,
      1) Goto system blade of dashboard and select Network settings.
      2) Select Restore to factory defaults. (This should wipe out your manual settings).
      3) Cancel all your port forwarding (it's not needed with Sky router).
      4) Enable UPnP.
      5) Switch off PC.
      6) Reboot router and then Xbox, test connection.
      7) Post back here and let me know how you get on.

      1. Turn on UnDP
      2. Reset your Xbox and router...

      Did the trick for me...

what internet connection are u trying to share? is the xbox only connecting to router through a PC?

Is the PC connecting wirelessly to the router or do u have 2 ethernet ports?

Or is the xbox connected directly by cable to the router?

Can help if you give more details on the setup.

      Cheers
It doesn't get better than this band lol

If you are trying to use ICS then check this link to make sure you have it set up correctly.

Yeah had trouble setting xbox to use sky router wireless.
Brought the official xbox wireless adaptor, went to dash board reset factory settings. Get all the connection info from sky router (from you pc) IP, DNS, and such. From xbox dash connection settings, let xbox find your router then goto manual set up and use the information you have pulled from the router.
Make sure that you have not not same IP though as another connection.
BTW their is NO need to turn on Undp .
Check that encryption is correct type (WEP)
Enter your SKy network key and make sure you are using the correct channel (sky default channel 6).
      Worked for me any how.
Best of luck, now getting MSN to work.................
