      Ethernet

Switchover date to Sky BB is tomorrow.

      Last day on AOL today.

Currently only play PS2 online and connect via ICS (Internet Conn Sharing) using a crossover cable (as AOL only provide a modem not a router).

When I start using the Sky BB equipment, If I want to play PS2 online will I just plug the crossover cable into the router or do I need another cable?

      Thanks

      Re: Ethernet

A crossover cable is usually used for connecting two computers (as in ICS). To connect a computer to a router you need a normal ethernet cable -- at least one is supplied with the router.

Ok, but to connect a router to a Playstation 2 console I'd need to use a crossover cable or straight through?

      Re: Ethernet

the ports on the sky router are auto sensing, so you can just use a cross over cable, it'l still work
      Connected @ 13mbit on SkyMAX
