      At last, it works!

Just thought id come and thank some of the people for the info i have got on this forum, it helped me get through to tier 3 and my pings are now much better.

After about two hours on the phone and after repeating the same argument over and over again i managed to get the words "do you want me to get someone who can help you" from a supervisor, this led me to tier 3 where the guys there were very happy to help and very familiar with the ping situation.

A bit of advice to people who have high pings on sky bb, when you ring up, 'don't give in'. Insist that you are going to get the problem resolved and don't let them blame it on 'third party equipment'. You will probably feel like you are getting nowhere with them but make it clear that you are not going to put the phone down without the ping being fixed, i asked to speak to a supervisor and after half an hour i was put through to tier 2 who quickly made a ticket and put me through to tier 3. They knew exactly how to sort the problem and reduced my max delays to 8 as opposed to 32. DON'T insist on fastpath as this will get you nowhere unless the tier 3 technician is prepared to put his job on the line although there are rumors going around tier 3 customer support that fastpath is coming soon... maybe, but we can only hope!

just ask 4 ur max delays to be reduced, once u get to tier 3 they will probably do it straight away, its just getting there thats the problem so be persistent.

[they should reduce the max delays from 32 to 8]
