Re: Low Pings WITHOUT Fastpath!!!

i called again today and just made a fuss.. slow connection and ive called numerous times before.. this time tho different from all others, i got a scottish lady.. and she didnt wanna bother with me coz she saw how many times i called in..

i guarantee if u get thru toa tier 3 admin they will lower your max delay but it may not have a great effect. depends on your line and your exchange.. im lucky and next to my exchange.. but i was pinging 80ms now im at 40ms..

so just keep baggering dont say gaming or ping to a TIER 1 coz it dont work..

Well how come when I received my 'welcome to broadband' letter, signed by the customer marketing director, the last line reads (and this is a direct quote)

Your Sky Broadband is on it's way. Surfing, downloading, gaming, emailing and so much more are just around the corner.

Hey....hey!

Re: Low Pings WITHOUT Fastpath!!!

Hi all,

I emailed support through the sky website last week about issues with high latencies asking for the max delay to be set to 8 and got this reply.

I am unable to offer trouble shooting support for online games however, the following steps may help resolve a slow connection:

Great website btw.

Who was the email from? do you have a name?

@ningall

40-50ms is good enough, i wouldnt try my luck at anything less as it may cause other problems

Re: Low Pings WITHOUT Fastpath!!!

The email was from Karen Sky Broadband Support help@skycustomersupport.com (sorry Karen)

My ping is 60-70 using tracert and 80-90 in game.
I didn't mention gaming in the email but I guess the secret is out
