ok after 5 days i finally have a 5mb connection and have spoken to TIER 3 , yes i hear you all gasp in astonishment that someone has spoken to them.
ok it took me 40 mins telling a Phillipine call centre that ive tried everything and my extension cable aint the problem. I threatened to quit and they put me through to TIER 3
I said major problem was ping and the agent said no problem and went to the exchange and tweaked and put my speed up from 4.5 to 5 and reduced something from 32 to 8 which is correct for optimal gaming
anyone got an idea what that was
whatever it was my ping to a uk server dropped from 70 - 23 and foriegn servers from 115 to 60 so finally got a broadband system that i can use.
HOWEVER IM SENDING THEM MY PHONE BILL FOR 5 DAYS ON 08702 NUMBERS!!

the settings the agent has changed is the max delay in milliseconds on the interleave settings each way. Thus reducing the ping while retaining interleaving.

i tryed the same thing and only got put on hold 4 50 mins only too get really peed off and ask 4 my mac code
only bc no 1 could understand wot ping ment and fastpath oh how i would stay if they could do the same 4 me and lower my ping!!!!!
