At a loss trying to get sky username and password off segam router

Hi there. Im at a bit of a loss. Im trying to get my sky username and password off my black segam router so I can use my spare wireless N router (it's suppose to be better for streaming video to my PS3). So far I've done everything said on this thread Sagam F@st 2504 Username Password

But i'm having problems starting up the router tool. When I do a web page opens up saying it cant find local host. I upgraded the firmware as well so I'm really lost now. Can anyone point out what I'm doing wrong

if your using firefox what you need to do is turn the proxy setting off in network connections

make sure you turn the proxy setting off in start, control panel, network and internet connections, internet options, connections, lan settings, then untick the bit where it says use a proxy server for your lan

other wise it wont connect properly

Thanks for your reply mate. I've tried that nut still no joy. I've just done the update again just in case but I still go to a blank page. Bloody frustrating this.

in your browser type "localhost" without the quotes in your browser MAKE SURE THE TOOL IS RUNNING THOUGH

Did you reread the thread, both raz0r and mrmt32 have made additions which solved the problem.

I have. I left click the router tool from my start menu and I get this
Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to localhost
Did you mean: localhost.*net
Additional suggestions:
Go to localho.*st
Go to localhost.*com
Try reloading: localhost
Search on Google:

I dont get this though as nothing comes up in my system tray when I click the router tool

. Open the Web interface by right clicking the blue sheild in the system Tray

I'm using win 7 64 bit by the way

Right I've re installed the router tool and now I get a red icon in the taskbar. I right click on the icon and the password and username is already filled in - admin and sky-. All I get though is an error while creating an http server

A bit further now but still stuck. When I right click on the icon and choose open web admin I put in the router username and password and it goes to a sky router web page and gets stuck at loading

Can you try using another browser? Chrome is very good but it does fall down with some things. Try Internet Explorer of Firefox, both of these are confirmed to be compatible with the program.
