Excellent, thanks fuzzy logic.
Just to confirm this is working perfectly (windows 64bit). Auth tested on my DGTeam'd DG834G v4, which I'm using now.
I know it breaks the T&Cs, what's the score though in reality? You say sorry and plug the D-Link back in?

Re: D-Link DSL-2640S extracting username & password, hope these might help someone
Depends who you ask really, the senior Customer Services Rep in the complaints/broadband department I spoke to the other day said that I wouldn't be able to call Sky up for any technical assistance on a non Sky router. I asked him if there would be any other ramifications of me using my own router and he said no. But then again, we all know that Sky lie, and don't have any idea how to follow their own procedures!!
Thanks to Fuzzy for the app, got everything working like a dream last night so finally I have a decent router and no sky DNS etc! Fuzzy ftw!!!

Re: D-Link DSL-2640S extracting username & password, hope these might help someone
Thanks yomchi, if it's simply a case of no support that's fine... not sure if I will continue using my netgear but it's nice to have options.
The attenuation is around 1.5dB higher and my SNR dB is around 1dB lower as well on the Netgear (DGTeam firmware).
By the way you could have set your DNS up at the OS level overriding the routers DHCP if you wanted to? Just a heads up

Re: D-Link DSL-2640S extracting username & password, hope these might help someone
Unless I am doing something wrong. When I click on the GET ADSL PASSWORD, I get the following shown.
Extracting ADSL password, please wait...
Read timed out
Finished.
I have switched off the Windows Firewall. I changed the default password on my router from its default sky to a more secure one when I first received it.

The time out I was getting earlier was down to the Windows firewall been enabled. If I disable it and then run the program, I am supplied with the username and password. Once I enable it again I get the time out message again, just a warning before using the program to disable your firewall.

How did you start the telnet daemon, everytime I try to do it the router crashes?

Just a heads up....it may help someone
I had a slight issue with trying to use a Belkin N1with the extracted user-name & password would still not connect
I spoofed the MAC Address (LAN mac) from the D-Link and after a reboot of my belkin it connected fine
Im one happy camper ........
