What has this got to do with the post?

Where do I enter my talk talk details etc??

There will be a section for entering your ISPs details, username, password etc.. I am not familiar with the Sagem standard firmware so I can't tell you exactly what to do. Maybe someone who has done it successfully would be prepared to post the details.

Re: Restoring the Sagem router after it's been flashed
Got it working last night, well almost working...
I can browse to google and search google no problem but when loading other pages it seems to take forever, that is if it ever loads at all.
This is the case for a wired and wireless connection.
I think I might have to bite the bullet and pay talktalk for one of theirs....

Re: Restoring the Sagem router after it's been flashed
There is no reason why TT's cheap Chinese routers should be any better than the Sagem. One thing you can check is the MTU, TT use a different default from Sky so this may be causing a problem. Sky use 1500, TT 1400 or 1432.
You might want to try TCPOptimiser from the link below. This will give you the best connection possible. It does not work with Vista but there are some tips there for that OS too.

Re: Restoring the Sagem router after it's been flashed
From memory I recall the MTU @ 1492, so will lower that this evening.
The actual wired TT modem I have performs great with no lag whatsoever, but it's not wireless, hence the flashing of the sky/sagem router
I know that by ordering a talktalk modem, it wouldn't be any better than the sagem, but I suspect the settings will be modified for best performance on the TT network... Hopefully though I wont have to go down this route if the MTU change works!

Re: Restoring the Sagem router after it's been flashed
does anyone have a copy of the standard firmware - I have tried downloading from the link at the start of this thread but the extension of the file is just .w and the router is looking for an image file - am I missing something?
thanks
