IF it's worked, you will get an IP address in the router status page of the router. Other settings you need is under ADSL settings it should be VC-Based as opposed to LLC-Based and in basic settings you should be set to PPPoA and using VPI 0, VCI 38

Other than that, why you not using the Sky router? If you say cause of wireless don't use wireless in the first place and get some homeplugs - will save a lot of headaches...

The test light blinks orange for a while when powered up then the following lights go green on the Router: Power, Internet, Wireless and 1 wired connection
If all the lights are green, you should be able to connect. Check the status page and see if you are being given an IP address.

Also, having put the mac address and network key in the web site at cm9.net to get the user name & password, have I allowed outside access to my network/router?
No, this application was created by a member of this forum and is perfectly safe.

Thanks IWasNotTheEnemy for this. I have checked the setting and have VC based and PPPoA (PPP over ATM) selected. The only other option here is PPoE (PPP over ethernet). I am not sure where VPI 0, VCI 38, goes as there is nothing on this screen like it.
Also, for Isitme, there is no IP address.Connection Status pop up screen says
Connection to Server - Disconnected
Negotiation - LCP allowed to come up
other three - '---'

I want to change router as the wireless signal is poor compared to the Netgear and keeps dropping out. I also want to setup wireless music system and put mp3's on a NAS.

Re: Getting your V1 and V2 router passwords - the safe way

I have reset the Router and entered the details from the SAGAM again to no avail. Is anyone else able to help on this matter?
