Re: Ive done it! Flashed router and got my sky password!
Hey
Ive got a Sky Netgear DG834GT Router connected to my PC and Laptop through ethernet, however i am now on Virgin Media Broadband. Ive went through the entire process on the first page and the firmware is now V1.02.04.
However from looking at the print screens you people have posted on the left column you have multiple choices at the top left, however i only see:
Setup
Wireless Settings
The other headings contain the links however, does anyone know how i can go about getting the other buttons such as 'Basic'?

As you still appear to be seeing the Sky firmware, it looks like your 'flash' was not completely successful. You may have to try flashing it again, but wait for some other comments.

Yeah, that does sound wrong. I'm surprised it's working at all to be honest. The reported version number has changed but the user interface hasn't? Very peculiar.

Re: Ive done it! Flashed router and got my sky password!
I followed the steps 'vishal' recommended
and I was able to flash my Sky Netgear Router
from this I was able to get ahold of the username and password set on the Router
(didn't read the other posts about it being the mac code at this point lol)
I then proceded to use the information to connect my old 3com wl-542 router to Sky which worked just fine after a few tweeks here and there lol
I'm now in the process of trying to re-flash my bthomehub to try and get that work.
I'll post any results!

Re: Ive done it! Flashed router and got my sky password!
just wondered, if i want to use my sky router for another isp can i simply overwrite the firmware to factory defaults and set it up manually or is the sky firmware locked inside the router?

If you read the first post you will see that it explains how to return the Sky Router to factory settings.

Re: Ive done it! Flashed router and got my sky password!
How come it worked for everyone almost a year ago, but nearing the end of 2007 we all get this graphical glitch, is it a microsoft update, direct x, .net framework? or have netgear replaced the original version of the file with a dud.
Sometimes going on, obviously. anybody knw how to fix this ;( i want to flash!
