How to obtain your username and password Netgear V2 DG934G Router

Surely the question everyone should ask though is why we have to risk destroying a perfectly good (although wireless distance challenged) router to get this data.

Sorry, little bump, but I notice this firmware link was removed due to fools using it to extract the password with it. However I need it to flash my router for DMT/noise reduction purposes; where can I find it? :/

I have previously yeah, but my topic died for no reason at all, so I went elsewhere. I was linked to this guide to flash my router to see if manual noise reduction helps (I have 65+db noise downstream), but the firmware link's gone..

Is the unofficial updated firmware different from the one available at netgear? and if so, have you any idea why I get blocked out from following your link 9or even the first part of the site name xxxx.com etc

The modified firmware image that I posted a link to was a very early method of obtaining the ADSL username and password from a Sky Netgear DG934G router. Since then, a very much easier and safer way of getting that information has been developed, so I removed the modified firmware image.

There were no performance differences between the standard Sky firmware and the modified firmware.

Hi- Sorry I cant download the IMG file. It says Forbidden.

Is the IMG file uploaded elsewhere?

There is firmware available for download on the Netgear site. Put DG934G firmware in the site's search box.

I should add Sky have apparently started rolling out updates for the V2 firmware, so it may not be a good time to mess about with it.
