Chips Off Menu At Olympics
French Fried: Chips Off Menu At OlympicsCaterers serving food within the Olympic park have been forbidden from serving chips due to "sponsorship obligations" with McDonald's.
A note distributed to catering teams from the London Olympics Organising Committee (Locog) states the only "loophole" is if chips are served simultaneously with fish.
It reads: "Due to sponsorship obligations with McDonald's, Locog have instructed the catering team they are no longer allowed to serve chips on their own anywhere within the Olympic park.
Oh dear, maybe everyone should just boycott McDonalds whilst the games are on.
When did McDonalds start selling chips?
~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

Re: Chips Off Menu At Olympics
Obviously someone drafted the wrong contract with them. This is really silly.
McDonald's, an American firm, does not own the patent for French Fries or Chips to the best of my knowledge.
Besides, I am not keen on their burgers anyway.

They don't, they sell skinny little slices of recycled potato, liberally sprinkled with salt to disguise the taste. When did McDonalds start selling chips?
MacDonalds don't even have their UK HQ in the UK to avoid paying UK tax, its in Switzerland.
The other caterers should sell potato wedges instead of chips/fries, they are far better for you, especially if the skin is left on.

They have their Head Office in East Finchley, North London.
Address: 11 - 59 High Road, East Finchley, London N2 8AW
This is just next to East Finchley tube station.
A lot of firms do have the Registered offices, for tax purposes, in other countries though.

Sorry, it was the European HQ which used to be in UK which was moved to Switzerland.

No problem. I used to know someone who loved working there. I lost touch with her many years ago.
