      Re: Swine Flu

Your not meant to have Tamiflu if your have chronic kidney problems (which the email doesn't mention) and you should be put on Relenza instead.

My wife works in drug regulation and she will tell you that all drugs will give you the side effects mentioned not just Tamiflu.

Although today I have come down with a flu and even with all my painkillers etc I feel like somebody has been kicking me all night long and breathing hurts.

Don't know if it is H1N1 but it's defo flu.

Do you really think the Government would hand it out if it was as dangerous as this purports it to be?
Thanks for the reply isitme. I had my doubts when I first read it.

There's always someone trying to make a bad situation worse.
Spammers and E-Mail spoofs are the swine flu of the internet, a good dose of Tamiflu for them wouldn't go a miss

      Re: Swine Flu

Tamiflu does only reduce the symptons and length of illness by a small amount.

As for the first half of that statement, yes Tamiflu might have been bought a number of years ago (I've no idea tbh), however the use by dates on this stuff is exceptionally long, and once it reaches that date I believe tests have shown it is still useable - and it wouldn't surprise me if drug companies are actually allowed to test samples and repackage if still viable.

Do love these chain spam emails, especially when they twist what little truth they have in them.

The references to $s and the FDA lead me to think that this is from USA/Canada, I don't think the out-of-date reference applies to the UK.

      Re: Swine Flu

A very good friend who teaches pathology at a very well known university told us yesterday that if you can get to the end of the flow chart on the website then you haven't got swine flu as you wuld be too ill to get that far.

Although both me and the misses have got another flu now and it feels like I can cook eggs on my head and that Amy Winehouse and Steven Gerrard have been punching me all night.
