What Do you think of 2008 christmas TV
Same old rubbish is churned out year after year. What more can you say.
I have a job trying to find anything that is not a repeat - are the TV companies still making new programs apart from the soaps and the unending runs of the likes of BB and Celebrity get me out of where ever.
My definition of a celebrity is A nobody with lots of money they have not truly earned.
Then of course Sky purchases the rights to show them at a later date. These days we seem to get very little but rehashed cr@p.

      Bah humbug.

I'm sure Xmas tv gets worse each year. Thank goodness for Sky+ so that the few decent programmes (which always seem to be on at the same time as each other!) can be watched!

Re: Christmas TV is it a load of ## or is it not?

xmas tv used to be about the latest blockbuster films and Bond and Indiana Jones... then Sky and DVDs came along and now you can get all this stuff pretty much whenever you want.

I can remember in the old days waiting for the bumper edition of Radio Times to come out and the scouring it to find the niche programs like a Queen concert or a film that hasn't been on in ages.

Gone are the days of Only Fools and Horses specials and the like. For me now, xmas tv is nothing much really. There may be the odd decent program on, but to be honest I've found myself still watching the same as i normally do (Dave, Paramount Comedy, SkyNews, odd bit of footy and the odd film on sky+..... oh and of course Hollyoaks!).

Re: Christmas TV is it a load of ## or is it not?

I have to say this is the first year that I have not had to work over Christmas and the new year.

All I can say what a load of rubbish, even the kids struggled to find something to watch they ha not really seen before. In fact we actually sat around and played games and even read a book or two.

It was quite nice to turn the tv off and in the end we had a great laugh.

Re: Christmas TV is it a load of ## or is it not?

We need some new Christmas spectaculars like the old Morecambe and wise shows. Some thing that says here is Christmas but instead they just show everyday programmes.

TV this year has been crap.
