So for the duration of the test, one isn't given sky go for free in return?

Re: PS owners and Sky Go.

Sadly that is the case gymno.

However, since anyone with the Sky MultiScreen pack can get Sky Go Extra for free, you can understand perhaps where they are coming from.

Many people who watch Sky Go through an Xbox and perhaps the PS3/PS4 as well would normally have at least two STBs already.

But as you are a sky customer, you have sky go free anyway.
For the android tablet and phone beta trials there were some incentives offered for current sky go users like sky go extra additions, so you could test on more devices, if you did not have it already.

A heads up, there is a new sky go beta trial for Android Beta Trial starting, details here.
Sky Go Android Beta Trial - Sky Community
The trial will allow you to use a single app across both phone and tablet devices running Android OS v4.0 and above.

If you are on the current tablet beta trial you would have been offered how to move onto this trial already.

Oh is it, soz I did not know that.
They have removed the sky extra two months free trial now too.

Wonder why that is, some Ps3/4 owners may not have a phone/tablet?
Just had a look online and the xbox has the same restriction.

Re: PS owners and Sky Go.

I can see the thinking behind it.

Almost all consoles will be connected to a decent sized tv, so many would choose sky go instead of a multiroom subscription.

I did read something once about HDMI output being blocked on some devices, but that doesn't get around the fact that most if not all laptops & tablets etc do have HDMI outputs now.
So it does feel a little like console owners are being punished.

Regardless, if sky are looking for beta testers but can't activate go extra for free for the duration of the test then, erm, good luck to them.

I am just going to make a separate thread for this as many Android owners may not wish to read a thread about PS3s and PS4s.
