xbox live and bans etc

ok i know that been banned from xbox live is a bad thing but the fact is im so sick of there stupid rules on xbl with banning for so many days and why is it that if you post swearing in your profile you get banned and why is it when americans or cockneys londoners. no affence to anyone on this forum always start fights for no reason whatsoever and they never seem to get banned even if you report them for foul and abusive language or other things its like xbl isnt bothered about theas types of people only people who put swearwords in profiles. almost every game i go into i get americans saying we won this war we won that war who cares them wars are over and done with they should be concentraiting on todays war not the past ones and cockneys are not much better in fact there worse for been abusive before i got banned i was on modern warfare 2 in a match and there was this one guy saying he hates northerners people in the north of england me as im oviously from newcastle and i said to him what about people from manchester he said he hated them and this is all the argument went on about the fact he hated northern people i mean how pathetic are people in this world for goodness sake. anyway i would like to know what anyones thoughts are on here maybe you have had a simalar thing either with ps3 or xbox live. be greatful let me know cheers

Sadly I cant agree with the way you feel. Those are the XBL rules, if you break them you suffer the penalty if you get caught. It is illegal to drink and drive in this country over 30mg/100ml of breath (if I remember right) yet many 100s of people do and dont get caught, if you do you get the relevant punishment.

Personally from experience it always appears that XBL is much more full of abuse wielding idiots than the PSN, probably the main disadvantage of a cheaper console, mummy buys little johnny an xbox because she saved a fortune on choosing that over the PS3 for his Christmas present. Don't get me wrong the PS3 has plenty of idiots just there to be annoying and shout anything to offend others but it seems the PS3 tends to be owned more by people of a more mature disposition again probably due to the price and the fact that 15 years ago the PS1 came out so those that were into console gaming then are that bit older now whereas the xbox was that bit later and therefore its fans will be that bit younger as such.

It would appear you're tarring a lot of people with the same brush. Not every American on Xbox LIVE is a bigot, same goes to the residents of London.
I myself was brought up in London and I do not hold any prejudice views against people from Northern England.

Yes, I do sympathise with the fact that there are a lot of annoying people on Xbox LIVE who just spend their time insulting other members of the gaming community. These sort of people come from anywhere and everywhere; even from the part of England classed as the 'North'.

Being sixteen years of age I have many friends who possess an Xbox 360. Quite a large percentage of my friends on there can be abusive and give the younger members of Xbox LIVE a bad stereotype.

I do have my friends on my 'friends list', but I mainly play games with people who are a bit older than I. They tend to show a bit more maturity and respect for others.

If possible, I would like to have a few games on Call of Duty with you - see if we can change your views on us Southerners.

liam i respect what you just said and yea you are right some players are abusive and some are friendly its just the luck of the draw how they were brought up etc etc. i mean dont get me wrong i havent got a grudge or anything against other people weather there from the southern country or from abroad it dont matter but its just so frustraiting to get the odd one or 2 hoying abuse i get it nearly everytime i go on live. but em its nice you wanted me to add you on xbl im a geordie buy the way so im a quick talker hehe

I have quite a few members of my family who live back in Enniskillen on my friends list. So understanding 'quick talkers' isn't too hard for me.

I'm currently staying at my partner's 'til Monday. I am also awaiting the damn new headset from Play. Apparently it's out of stock and it doesn't give any information on when they'll restock and dispatch.

That's one of the negatives with the Xbox. They won't allow you to change your gamertag for free. I've changed it three times in the 2-3 years I've had it, but I think the price could be a lot lower. I wouldn't mind paying a wee bit, I just think it's taking the mick with such a high price.
