Changing the password to access the Sky Hub’s settings
The default username to access your Sky Hub’s settings is admin
and the default password is sky
– it’s probably a good idea to change the default password to prevent unauthorised access to the Sky Hub’s settings.
To do this, open the Sky Hub's home page by typing the Sky Hub's IP
Address in your browser (i.e. 192.168.0.1). Click on the 'Maintenance' tab and then click on ‘Set Password’.
To change the password, type the current password in the box labelled ‘Old Password:’ and then type the new password in the box labelled ‘New Password:’ and then type the new password again in the box labelled ‘Repeat New Password:’.
Click the ‘Apply’ button to save the password change (or click the ‘Cancel’ button to keep the current password).
There is also a facility for the change the login timeout period. The default value is 5 minutes. This can be changed to a period of time of your choice. In the box labelled ‘Administrator login times out after idle for’, type the number of minutes after which the administrator login should timeout.
Click the ‘Apply’ button to save the login timeout period change (or click the ‘Cancel’ button to keep the current login timeout period).
