That's odd because I managed to get signed up and logged into a wireless connection just fine without a invite.

Same here, no invite but now I even have a cloud security certificate installed on my iPhone as well as fully registered, so i get seamless logging on when I'm near a hotspot.

Great Western has now put the cloud in most stations with new ones been added.

I had been told that this due to be rolled out for the start of F1 so people with sky go could watch F1 anytime any place..... blah blah... Maybe the roll out has started...

Also dont forget some cloud partners require you to log on via the holding page once. I noticed that the landing page yesterday at Mcdonalds had not been updated to include sky yet. ALthough I have not tried to use the cloud after o2 took it off iphone customers.

Registered today and completed the process by logging on at the McDonald's in Chester: Both handsets connected automatically, registration was completed after 'naming' each device - was browsing on Wi-Fi within a few minutes!

When you log into wifi.sky.com and look at devices does it now show the device you registered at mcdonalds?

Yes, both of them. Registered my handset using my Sky id, and the wife's using her sky id which is linked to mine. Both of us can see both devices when we log on with our own id's.

Is she able to manage the devices through her ID? Could she perhaps delete you handset?

Yes, she has full access to the account, and could if she wanted to, delete my handset!
