Anyway, having had quite a few problems since the firmware upgrade and wanting to cancel Sky TV I decided I would give O2 a go; I used to be with Be* when I lived in London but went with Sky when I moved to High Wycombe.

I asked Sky for my MAC last Thursday, received by SMS on Monday, given to O2 same day, texts and emails received confirming order and expected connection date. I received my O2 router today and am expected to go live next Tuesday.

So far I am very impressed with the level of service and it will be interesting to see how things go.

We had all intentions of making an o2 User forum at the time, until we ever get around to doing it, it will redirect to here.

When I signed up to Be, I had similar levels of Texts etc - Due to go live next Tuesday. The Be connection is for daytime use at work, seems as Sky don't do work connections.

Just To clarify for everybody here, o2 uses bt's system to find out what they think the line will be capable of but once you are activated you are left uncapped for 10 days, o2 will monitor your speed and if you are capable of a higher package they will upgrade you, if you wish, to the higher package, the same thing happens if your not capable of your package but obviously your moved down not up!

Well, here I am - Day 1 O2 Broadband, 8am and I am connected, as promised bang on schedule.

My speed, (currently using the O2 router) shows a modest increase from yesterday with Sky. 7.6 Mbps download today v 6.5 Mbps yesterday, and an upload speed of 1046.49 Kbps with O2 today v 238.23 Kbps on Sky yesterday.
