Yes A & B is on the BT side but on the 6 way faceplate as well it's also A & B on the IDC's!! Makes sense really as they are both exactly the same, only difference is one is after the disconnect feature and hence the subscriber can legally wire to it.

Yep, experience shows me there are good ones but there are also a fair few bad ones, just like Sky "engineers" i may add (engineer in the UK is used to describe anyone who can hammer cable clips in or hold a screwdriver)
