      Oh what a tangled web ...
      Yes A & B is on the BT side but on the 6 way faceplate as well it's also A & B on the IDC's!! Makes sense really as they are both exactly the same, only difference is one is after the disconnect feature and hence the subscriber can legally wire to it.

      That says all that needs to be said, I hope that the pair swap fixes your problem, but if not you need to keep on at them. I can understand you thinking that all BT/Openreach engs must have come down with the last shower of rain but there are a lot of good ones out there.
      Yep, experience shows me there are good ones but there are also a fair few bad ones, just like Sky "engineers" i may add (engineer in the UK is used to describe anyone who can hammer cable clips in or hold a screwdriver)

      If you can hold the screwdriver you'll pass anyway

      Not too bad so far ... but as it usually lasts for about 24 hours or so before disconnecting normally, and usually at night, I may have to go through several evenings before I start to relax:

      Total time = 8 hours 20 min 47 sec
      SF = 1765810
      CRC = 222
      LOS = 0
      LOF = 0
      ES = 52
      Oh, and I changed back to my original Netgear router rather than the replacement Sagem they sent me, as I couldn't get detailed stats on that.
