letters vs numbers???

Im looking to tidy up my wiring/extensions to improve my BB performance. My master socket has 2 wires connected (correct I think) via screw connections "A" and "B" on the back of the inner plate. I want to wire in an extension just for my BB but the connections on this are numbered 1 - 6. I know that only 2 & 5 need connecting. Does A connect to 2 and B to 5 ?? Just want to make sure I dont cross wire it. At the mo, the incoming "A" connection is white/blue and "B" is blue/white.

Thanks

Re: letters vs numbers???

to answer your question, A connects to 5 B connects to 2.

Don't get too hung up on polarity. If caller display on your line, then part of the signaling is to reverse polarity just before your phone rings to signal to the unit that a number is coming through.
