I've not seen one but will look into stocking them, however i wonder if it all it does is what the latest NTE5 does? (adds a filter to the bell wire circuit). As the filter is on the back plate of the NTE5 the end user is not supposed to change it, i'm wondering if this is BT's way of "upgrading" older NTE's?? Seems very expensive if that's all it is and as already mentioned you'd be better off with a filtered faceplate. I've dropped our supplier an email to see what they can find out, BT use a select few manufacturers for their products.

Yes it is just a ring wire filter, and yes it is expensive!! The only time an I-plate is useful is when a user has an extension lead pluged directly into the master, with a ADSL filter at the other end. In this case it is not so easy to disconnect the ring line as it is connected via the socket on the master faceplate, so the I-plate would filter it. My own method is to cut off the extension plug, and recrimp another on with just the line pair connected. the latest NET-5 masters solve all these ring wire problems by having a built in filter.
By far the best method is the filter faceplate, as it solves this and most other problems.

No I have not seen one, but I can see BT's point, there are a lot of call outs when new people move in only to find their phones don't ring because the previous owner forgot to refit the ring line.
Fitting the I-plate could be a problem as many extensions are wired and very little slack is left at the faceplate end.

I'd be very surprised if the cost price was as much as to justify the retail that it seems to be selling at. As this is end user fit then we should be able to get it. Like you say though the lack of cable slack maybe problamatic?? Need to get one to see what's what
