And there was me saying how great Sky support was.
The op needs to be carefull, the wires sound like alarm cable and may well be stranded so a "yank" might just snap them a bit short

Re: Try your master socket for better results

im seriously thinking i dont need the hassle of the frontplate.

im now today getting 500kb/s with stable speed of 485kb/s

my max is only 5.4 ish

i mean i dont think its worth it putting the new fsceplate , due to my high speeds. it prob go up again tommoz seen as im within the 10 days test period thing from 02 .

Re: Try your master socket for better results

Hi Fas_k.
If you are happy with your speeds and everthing is o.k, then by all means leave well alone.
If you have got the faceplate coming, then just hang onto it and maybe fit it later if you feel like it.

Re: Try your master socket for better results

don't get RJ11 - its just another phone extention (regardless what they say)...

better off getting ethernet - why do you need gigabit anyway? it'd only be that quick between network PC, not your connection...

Re: Try your master socket for better results

Plugged into the front bt plate and got synched at 5600kb

Master Socket 8096 kbps

ADSLnation knocked my card back for a new XTE faceplate. Moving to a newbuild house is causing all sorts of trouble when trying to order things online
