 This was confirmed by email a few minutes later , which Ive included below.<br />

it was A copy of Zonealarm Security that was removed 6months ago the B@st*rds left zonealarm firewall hidden deep in the code of the operating system. i removed it with this tool and these steps <br />
<br />

1.) Click Start -&gt; Run<br />
NOTE: If you do not have the Run option on the Start menu, you can press and hold the Windows logo key and tap the letter R .<br />
2.) Type Msconfig in the run box<br />
3.) Click OK<br />
4.) Once in Msconfig, click the Startup Tab, and remove the checks from everything. (zonealarm refused the untick process just untick then apply then restart)<br />
 5.) Click the Service Tab, place a check in &quot;Hide All Microsoft Services.&quot; Now remove checks from everything.(zonealarm refused the untick process just untick then apply then restart)<br />
6.) Click OK<br />
7.) Restart your computer<br />
 8.) Please use Internet Explorer and SAVE the ZoneAlarm clean tool from the link below:<br />
<a href="http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/free/support/download/clean.exe" target="_blank">http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...load/clean.exe</a><br />
 9.) When the download box pops up, choose SAVE. In the next box, choose Save to Desktop then run the file from there and follow the on screen prompts to complete the uninstall. Be sure to restart your computer if prompted.<br />
10.) Clear your Windows temporary file cache by following the steps below:<br />
- Go to Start -&gt; Run<br />
NOTE: If you do not have the Run option on the Start menu, you can press and hold the Windows logo key and tap the letter R .<br />
- Type %temp% and click OK<br />
- Select all of these files and delete them<br />
- Empty your recycle bin<br />
11.) Please ensure all critical and non-critical Windows updates are installed by going to Start-&gt;All Programs-&gt;Windows Update-&gt;Check for Updates. If there are updates available please install them, restart the computer, and check for updates again. Please continue this process until all updates are installed.<br />
