Question Hi all Anytime+ and Sky Router help

      Hi all,
This is just a curiosity because I have these routers lying around, Current Set up :- Sky Broadband (I believe its the netgear router) in my Bedroom connected via adsl and a ethernet cable to my Sky HD + box also in my bedroom for anytime plus.

My parents also have Sky HD + downstairs.

What I want to do is enable Sky Anytime + on my parents HD box, I know I can run a long ethernet cable to it, either drilling a hole out of my wall in my room dropping the ethernet cable down and through another hole to the HD Box of my parents.

But, I have 2 spare routers a Black Sky router (D-Link), and a virgin media super hub, is their anyway at all I can utilize these routers to connect wireless to the black sky router (netgear) in my bedroom, I believe this is a wireless bridge ??

I know the easy way would be to purchase a wireless bridge (I dont have the money to purchase it) or run the ethernet cable (dont like the idea of running the cable), but I want to recycle (so to speak) these spare routers.

Please if anyone has any suggestions I would be most grateful.

Oh p.s I tried looking into dd-wrt but totally got lost with that.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to a reply soon.

Unless the firmware on the VM Super Hub supports the function or you can find a custom firmware, then this can't be achieved.

There are a couple of alternative solutions. You could purchase a pair of HomePlugs for around £35 or a WiFi Extender for a similar price. There is also the WiFi Media Bridge which is again around the same price. The Netgear WNCE2001 fits in well hear.

Once you have the connection by their TV/Sky STB you can later add additional ports for things like Blu-rays or Interactive TVs by using one of your spare routers.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps (in inital connection time)
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

The cheapset way to do this is by using a Vonets wireless bridge. Read the user reviews -
Vonets VAP11G WIFI Bridge: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics
