Pleeeease help - using Netgear N150 as access point to Sagem router

      Hi

I am a total noob when it comes to wireless networking, apologies for the stupid questions

I've bought a netgear N150 router and wish to use it as an access point, could someone please explain step by step how I should set this up - I've tried a search but being a total noob cannot find a 'begineers' guide anywhere

Do I plug the new router into my pc with the ethernet cable and configure from there ? When I've tried installing the software from the disc which came with the netgear it is asking me to plug the roueter into the connection - except my pc is upstairs and the router downstairs, with no phone point upstairs

      Many many thanks in advance

      Jonny

Re: Pleeeease help - using Netgear N150 as access point to Sagem router

      Hi
Not an answer for you at alkl but I just bought the same router last week but to use as a normal router in place of my old Sky Netgear which gave up the ghost . . . .
however, I am unable to get it to 'see' the Sky broadband !!
I have recovered the user name and p/word and used that but when running setup it just fails to see the network and sits with a flashing globe light.
I have trawled the other posts and have used the settings as suggested :
I have used the settings from the forum as suggested: PPPoA, VPI/VCI 0/38, multiplexing VC, didn't know what to enter in Service Name box ?
      Any suggestions at all?
      * sorry if I am hijacking the OP *
