Using Sky-DG834GT on Virgin ADSL

Hi...

I've been reading for a couple of hours, trying to work out what I'm missing...

• I've installed the Community Firmware using the router admin screens - admin screen says "V1.03.87 (CU3.04)".
  Is this the correct firmware to use the Sky DG834GT on NON-Sky ADSL, or should I install a Netgear standard firmware?
• Even with the CU3.04 firmware, I don't see an ADSL setting page; I've tried downloading the netgear.cfg and editting it to contain the new ADSL credentials, but it ignored these when I applied the edited netgear.cfg to the router, and the extras screen still returns the @skydsl credentials.

Many of the firware guides advised using the Netgear Recovery tool to install the .img file, then using the router admin screens to do this again Have I skipped a step???

Netgear standard firmware. The community update is a modified Sky firmware so won't offer the input fields you need.

I now have the DG834 recovery utility (This was the recovery tool linked from Netgear's GT page), plus DG834GT images 1.2.04 and 1.2.16...

The tool is saying

Model: DG834
Current Version: 121C
Upgrade Version: 1204
Server Name: 00184D436B58

Does that sound right for a DG834GT?
