Internet connection problem with Netgear DG934G

Please someone help - I've given up asking Sky themselves cus I'm getting nowhere fast!

Connecting to Sky Broadband was fine for a while, but recently the Router really struggles to connect to the internet (the internet lights constantly flashes amber). It could take hours to connect after rebooting and when it does, it only offers ridiculously slow speeds. Here's the stats:-

Router StatisticsSystem Up Time: 01:40:21

Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
WAN PPPoA 14027 12956 0 586 3316 01:02:37
LAN 100M/Full 379 0 0 8 0 01:40:17
WLAN 11M/54M 13694 14756 0 2217 364 01:40:04
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 64 kbps 64 kbps
Line Attenuation 50 db 15.5 db
Noise Margin 10 db 13 db

I've done every Sky Troubleshooting test numerous times and even the Sky engineers seem stumped. The filter connects directly to the phone socket and using the test socket doesn't improve the connection. Even demanded a new Router.

The lines have been checked and Sky were supposed to be talking with BT to investigate further, but perhaps unsurprisingly, they never got back to me!

Sorry for going on but needed to get every bit of info in there.

Many thanks

you're on test speed - hence the 64k up/down...as for always going to amber, usually a faulty dsl cable between router and filter)...

Thanks for the reply

I guess the Test Speed is something only Sky can sort at their end?

Yes, Give them a call, or use the kana form on linky below, the number is 08442 410515. You may get a little TS, in test socket, any extension, swap filters etc.. Any good OP should notice what is happening and put you through to CST who will sort it out
