Question Wierd wiring for faulty plug in my new house

I just moved and with it, ordered my Sky Broadband. However the socket in my house is currently not working, but the line is ok.

Anyway, it wasnt powering the phone or producing any sort of dialtone, so i opened it up, and was a little suprised. I was expecting to see different banded connections, for example: White with orange banding.

However, i found 4 seperate colours:

White
Orange
Green
Black

Ive just bought a new socket (with built in ADSL filter) like i had in my old house, and of course the wiring diagram is for a conventional socket. Any ideas about the wiring of my socket? And how to connect a anything up to it?

I need to know ASAP because my internet is activated next wednesday! And im using a friends to check up on this stuff :P

Thanks.

I'm guessing that it must be a quite old dropwire.
As to which colurs to use - c'mon Brian
