Linksys WRT54G Wont connect

I have gained my user/pass from the web, and have set PPPOA, 38/0 and VC multiplexing as per the help thread, but still my router just does not establish any adsl connection. It sees the line, it would appear... as it shows the line speed and sync/noise... but there is no connection Any thoughts?

Can you confirm that this is a modem router and not simply a router? I was under the impression this was a router only and requires a modem to connect to the internet.

If this is what you have it will not connect directly to the internet.

You can still use this but it will have to be connected through your Sky router.

Nope, it looks similar to the wrt54geg, but its old. its certainly a modemrouter as i have used it for years

Why describe it as a WRT54G if it is not one?
All I can suggest is that you reset it to factory defaults and start again. This Linksys user - Linksys WAG200G-UK Home ADSL Router with Sky - had to update the firmware to connect. the same may apply to you.

Remember it is always better to use ethernet until you are set up and running. If you are trying to use wireless from the off, this may be your problem.
