Noob. Can I use a standard wireless network adapter to connect X box 360 to router Hi, New to the site. Can anyone tell me if I can connect my X Box 360 to the Sky Netgear V2 DG934G router, using a Linksys WUSB54G USB network adapter. I've got one spare & don't want to pay £55 for the microsoft adapter.
I've tried plugging it into the X box, but the system isn't recognising it.
Do I have to change the router settings(or X Box) to connect wirelessly, or will I just have to pay for the official Microsoft adapter?
If anyone can shed some light on this I would be really grateful.
Thanks

im guessing the 360 wont have support for anything except its own branded device im afraid. either sell the adapter you have and put the money towards the branded one or use a long ethernet cable ;-)

I've never managed to get any standard wireless adapter to work on my xbox. In the end I used a homeplug device to run my ethernet over the electric circuit.
