black netgear firmware

i got a few netgears from sky a while back a black one 3 white ones and i just plugged one of the white netgear ones in and its got james firmware on it which i must of put on a while back Firmware Version V1.03.87 (CU3.04)
so im gonna try that does anyone else use this firmware ? is it stable ?
ive currently set my target noise margin to 8 lets see how it holds
current stats
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 14022 kbps 765 kbps
Line Attenuation 32.0 db 18.0 db
Noise Margin 9.3 db 11.5 db

is rock solid
and holds snr to very nicely the best firmware ive ever used on these white netgears

afaik and this may or not be true. The Sagem is due the FW first.

Will endeavour to find out more tomorrow, if MSN works.

Hi NewsreadeR, Did you get any joy from your contact or is it just a case
of the V2 firmware will be released when SKY is ready ? When it is available,
do you think it will be possible for Skyuser to have a user download like the
V1 firmware ? It would be nice to be running the latest firmware before Sky
runs DLM on everyones connections in October... I dread to think what I'll
end up with using the existing DG934 firmware, stable it isn't !

the Phase 2 FW update is for BOTH Phase 2 routers...due out 'some time' this year...

Hi Alex

As IANTE has stated, there are two FW's due. I would see no reason why Sky wouldn't let us have the FW to offer for download. After all they did give us the older V1 FW to offer.

As for dates, I have no idea whatsoever. As soon as I know I will post it

Would be nice if Sky offered it to some users to help test them though
